Welcome to the Polis public newsletter!

We are pleased to invite all our readers to Madrid to this year's Annual Polis Conference on 27-28 November! The conference marks Polis' 25th anniversary and is an excellent opportunity for cities, regions and the European transport community to "think the city", to exchange on innovative transport solutions and to find out more about Madrid's stricter approach to city centre access by private car.

ECOMM 2015 call for papers

Polis member Utrecht will host next year's European Conference on Mobility Management (ECOMM) from 20-22 May 2015. Papers can be submitted until 9 December. Read more.

Europe's cities and regions can apply for the 3rd Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) Award until 3 November 2014. This year's theme is monitoring and evaluation. Read more.

Polis and SOLUTIONS City Round Table and Training Events at Michelin Challenge Bibendum

Under the title "Innovative solutions for smart sustainable urban mobility", Polis and the EU-funded SOLUTIONS project are organizing an interactive city round table and three training workshops at the Michelin Challenge Bibendum. Both events take place in Chengdu, China on 11 November.

Registrations open for Polis workshop on air quality

Organised by the Polis Working Group on Environment & Health in Transport in cooperation with the Madrid City Council, the Polis workshop on air quality on 26 November will assess the relation between transport and air quality, and discuss measures for improvement.
