EMW and SUMP Award finalist cities revealed |
Polis members Berlin, Brussels, BKK Budapest and Rotterdam are among the cities shortlisted for the 5th European SUMP Award, which this year has urban freight as focus theme. The winner will be revealed by Violeta Bulc, European Commissioner for Transport and Daniel Calleja, Director General of DG Environment during a joint award ceremony in Brussels on 20 March 2017 for both the SUMP Award and the European Mobility Week (EMW) Award.

The dates for this year's Polis Conference have been set! The 2017 Annual Polis Conference "Innovation in transport for sustainable cities and regions" will take place on 6 and 7 December in Brussels, Belgium. The call for speakers will open in March.

Cities to discuss long-term investment at the European Parliament |
We invite cities to join a workshop taking place on 8 March at the European Parliament in Brussels on "Long-term investments: Barriers and opportunities for regional and local authorities". The event includes a debate on the current Eurostat rules and their impact on regional and local public investments in several sectors such as transport, energy efficiency and waste management.

Polis active on C-ITS, automation and MaaS |
Polis is organising a series of events in May in Brussels addressing respectively the topical themes of C-ITS, automation and MaaS: the CIMEC final conference on C-ITS will be held on 18 May and the Polis TE&M WG meeting on automation and MaaS will take place the day after.

Brussels launches ‘Good Move’, a public consultation plan |
Pascal Smet, minister of mobility of the Brussels capital region, announced 'Good Move', a consultation initiative feeding into Brussels’ regional mobility plan 2018-2028 . ‘Good move’ will offer a platform where not only mobility experts but also residents, municipalities, associations, companies, and administrations can express their opinion on Brussels' long-term mobility plans.
