InfoPolis #127
September 2015

Dear members,

This week's global transport agenda has been dominated by Volkswagen's use of diesel defeat devices in the US. Vehicle emissions in Europe are also considered to signficantly exceed lab test results. However, while Euro 6 standards came into force in September 2014, the new tests procedure (RDE) and tools have not been implemented yet.

Polis will continue to follow the topic including calls for an EU-wide type approval body, emission ceilings, and impacts on air polution and CO2 emissions. Keep an eye on your mailbox for Polis briefings and positions.

Finally a reminder to please login to the Polis website as a member to access all information addressed to Polis members only (green headline)! If you do not know your login details, please contact us.

For now, I wish you a pleasant read!

Yours sincerely,
Karen Vancluysen
Secretary General
