Dear members,

Following up on the conference and the general assembly of last month, the Polis secretariat is actively preparing next year with Perugia, the new presidency, to provide you with a comprehensive calendar and programme of activities for 2012. This will include exploring further the potential of online activities such as webinars and releasing new Polis papers based on the discussion of some conference roundtables.

The end of the year marks the last days of Anna Clark with Polis. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Anna for the very valuable work she has done for the network over the past years. She has greatly contributed to our development and while we will miss her, we will continue the work she has started. We wish her all the best for her new endeavors in Sweden!

We are also bidding farewell to Ricardo do Valle Lourenço with whom we have enjoyed working in the past four months. Ricardo has efficiently contributed to Polis work and we wish him good luck for his future career.

In the name of the Polis secretariat, I wish all Polis members a Merry Christmas!

Yours sincerely,
Sylvain Haon
Secretary general
