Editorial

Dear members,

Since 2009 Polis has been an active member of the European Road Safety Charter together with several Polis members. The Charter is the largest civil society platform on road safety which today includes over 3,200 public and private entities. To further strengthen road safety culture across Europe, the Charter has recently launched a call for good practices that have proven to be successful in increasing road safety. The deadline for submission of such good practice is 15 April 2017 and you will find more information in this newsletter.

Several Working Group meetings are scheduled for this month, notably the Working Group meeting on Active Travel and Road Safety on 20-21 April in Paris, the Polis Working Group on Bike Sharing Schemes on 26-27 April in Madrid with new speakers being announced, and the Polis-EPA parking working group meeting on 27 April in Brussels, with now a final agenda online.

Please make sure to be logged in as a member to the Polis website to also have access to events restricted to the membership. This is especially vital to access information on Working Group meetings. If you do not remember your login details, don’t hesitate to contact us.

We look forward to seeing you at one or more of the upcoming meetings and events and for now I wish you a pleasant read.

Kind regards,

Karen Vancluysen
