Polis member Dresden will host the EBSF_2 project demonstration event on 21 June 2017 |
The European Bus System of the Future 2 (EBSF_2) project will hold its Demonstration Event on 21 June 2017 in Dresden (Polis member), Germany. The project will discuss the potential of modular bus solutions. The event will be hosted by the local demonstration leader, Fraunhofer IVI, in collaboration with the demo partner HÜBNER.

Polis supports the joint Declaration of Intent (DoI) for electric freight vehicles developped in the framework of the FREVUE project. In order to accelerate the transition towards zero-emissions, cities, regions and local freight operators can support this initiative and sign the DoI.

CIVITAS SUMPs-Up call for planning authorities: deadline to apply extended to 7th June 2017 |
The CIVITAS SUMPs-Up project recently launched its first call for applications for planning authorities to join its Innovation Pilot Pool (IPP). A total of 50 participants with different profiles will be recruited, and all local authorities can apply. Application is open until Wednesday 7th June 2017.

New funds available for ELENA, the European Local Energy Assistance facility |
The European Commission and the European Investment Bank (EIB) have signed a new delegation agreement reinforcing the ELENA (European Local Energy Assistance) facility. ELENA provides grant funding to support the preparation of large-scale investment programmes in the area of energy efficiency, distributed renewables, and sustainable urban transport.

Registration open for European Road Safety Summer School |
Polis along with the Flemish Foundation for Traffic Knowledge VSV, ETSC, IMOB and Road Safety GB invite cities to the European Road Safety Summer School 2017. It takes place in Mechelen, Belgium from 28 August to 1 September. Registration is now open.
