InfoPolis #177
December 2017

Dear members,

Let me thank you all for having made the 2017 Polis conference a true success! On 6 and 7 December more than 500 delegates attended the conference and learned more about how to address local mobility challenges through urban transport innovation. We received positive feedback both from you as well as other delegates about the quality of the presentations, discussions, and the opportunities for networking. All conference presentations are available on the Polis website. If you wish to see the conference in pictures, a selection of photos is available here while a Twitter recap is under the hashtag #polis17.

We would also like to thank you for your active involvement in our Annual General Assembly, your input will directly feed into the services we’ll be offering you next year and the priority topics we will address. Congratulations to Transport for Greater Manchester for their unanimous election as Polis President, as well as to Helmond, Aarhus, Madrid and La Rochelle for their equally unanimous election as new Management Committee members! Let me take this opportunity as well, to thank the Rotterdam team once more for their commitment throughout the two years of their presidency!

Finally, congratulations again to our member Île-de-France Mobilités which won the Thinking Cities Award for its innovative mobility solution "Vianavigo", a travel planner that not only includes public transport information but also the offers of several carpooling companies in the region. If you didn’t have the opportunity to pick up a paper copy of Thinking Cities Magazine #9, an online version can be downloaded here.

Please login to the Polis website as a member to access all information addressed to Polis members only (green headline). If you do not know your login details, please contact us.

For now, I wish you a good read, and on behalf of the whole Polis team, happy holidays and all the best for the year to come!

Kind regards,

Karen Vancluysen
