Editorial
Dear members,
I would like to remind you that the next Polis Working group on ‘Health and Transport’ will take place next Monday in Brussels on 12 March 2018. The meeting takes place in conjunction with the FLOW and TRACE Final Conference on 13-14 March titled "Decongesting Europe: New approaches to freeing our cities. How walking and cycling can help reduce congestion". The conference will bring together experts of transport planning as well as decision makers from all over Europe to share experiences and challenges related to walking, cycling and congestion.
Prior to the start of the FLOW and TRACE conference, Polis will host a lunch discussion for high level decision makers from cities involved in both projects and from our network, including Polis President Manchester, and Polis political representatives from Bologna, Jerusalem and Dublin.
We have many other Working Group meetings lined up for your this spring. If you wish to know when and where your upcoming Polis Working group meeting will take place, please visit this page for a general overview.
Finally, the CIVITAS SUMPs-Up project has launched a call for cities interested in learning how to develop a Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP). If you need support with developing your SUMP, don’t forget to apply by 8 April 2018 in order to join the learning platform!
