Dear members,

The call for speakers for this year’s annual Polis conference was launched last week. The conference will be hosted by Polis president Manchester and will take place on 22 and 23 November in the Manchester United Old Trafford Stadium. The Polis Annual General Assembly (Polis members only) is scheduled for 21 November 2018. The conference offers a great opportunity to showcase your local best practice and innovations in transport. The call for speakers closes on 18 May 2018, end of day, and we look forward to receiving many proposals from your side! To submit your abstract please click here. I would also like to remind you of the upcoming Working Group meeting on Bike sharing taking place next week on 9-10 April 2018 in Milan. For an overview of the upcoming Polis Working Group meetings, please check regularly this page.

Last but not least, the call launched by the CIVITAS SUMPs-Up project to join the SUMP Learning Programme has been extended to 23 April 2018. You can find more information on the admission requirements on the project website.

C-ITS and cities workshop

Dublin City Council hosted on 22 March the final workshop of the CODECS C-ITS City Pool, a platform set up to have focused discussions about the challenges and opportunities of deploying C-ITS in cities. Some 35 people attended the workshop, including 15 representatives of city and regional government.

Call for abstracts: International Healthy Cities Conference 2018

We invite Polis members and cities to submit an abstract for the WHO Healthy Cities Conference "Changing cities to change the world". The call for abstracts is open until 13 April. This year's conference will take place in Belfast on 1-4 October 2018 and is celebrating 30 years of the Healthy Cities movement.
