Dear members,

It was a pleasure to meet many of you last week in Nicosia, Cyprus, at the 5th European Conference on Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans! Hundreds of participants from all over Europe and beyond attended and contributed to a successful event. All presentations are now online and you can access them through this link.

Polis welcomes the European Commission 3rd Mobility Package which paves the way for a cleaner and safer transport system in Europe. It includes thirteen different proposals looking at themes such as road safety and automation, CO2 targets for heavy-duty vehicles for the first time and also a new communication for tackling air quality which addresses air in cities and puts urban transport emissions as a priority. Last but not least, we are delighted to kick-off our new Polis horizontal Pillar dedicated to Governance which focuses on topics such as SUMPs, Smart Cities, financing, co-creation and much more. All interested members are invited to attend the first meeting which will take place in Paris on 3 - 4 July and will focus on regulating disruptive innovation and introducing politically sensitive but effective measures. Global Alliance Formed to Standardize Parking Data

Three major parking associations join forces to develop an international parking data standard. The Alliance for Parking Data Standards (APDS), recently formed by the International Parking Institute (IPI), the British Parking Association (BPA), and the European Parking Association (EPA), is a not-for-profit organization with the mission to develop, promote, manage, and maintain a uniform global standard that will allow organizations to share parking data across platforms worldwide.
