Dear members,

It was a pleasure to meet many of you last week in Nicosia, Cyprus, at the 5th European Conference on Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans! Hundreds of participants from all over Europe and beyond attended and contributed to a successful event. All presentations are now online and you can access them through this link.

Polis welcomes the European Commission 3rd Mobility Package which paves the way for a cleaner and safer transport system in Europe. It includes thirteen different proposals looking at themes such as road safety and automation, CO2 targets for heavy-duty vehicles for the first time and also a new communication for tackling air quality which addresses air in cities and puts urban transport emissions as a priority. You can read more on the Polis website.

Last but not least, we are delighted to kick-off our new Polis horizontal Pillar dedicated to Governance which focuses on topics such as SUMPs, Smart Cities, financing, co-creation and much more. All interested members are invited to attend the first meeting which will take place in Paris on 3 - 4 July and will focus on regulating disruptive innovation and introducing politically sensitive but effective measures. More information is available here.

Please login to the Polis website as a member to access all information addressed to Polis members only (green headlines). Do not hesitate to contact us if you do not remember your login details.

I wish you a pleasant read!

Kind regards,

Karen Vancluysen
