Dear members,
Our next Polis Working Group on Governance & Integration, taking place on 25-26 February, will focus on new & shared mobility services and how these can be regulated and aligned with local policy goals. For that purpose, we’re bringing all new mobility service providers to the meeting as well, to engage in an open dialogue towards the best way forward in public-private cooperation. More information can be found here.
The next day, on 27 of February the Polis meeting of the Clean Vehicle and Air Quality Working Group will take place in Brussels. The meeting is organised in cooperation with Brussels Environment and will focus on “Zero emission cities: exchange of best-practices between EU cities and regions”. More information can be found here.
Please also note that on 25 March 2019 from 14.00-16.00, we will organise a webinar for our newly established SMC Platform, that brings together the Small and Medium-sized cities within Polis and gives them a dedicated platform to discuss governance issues, challenges and solutions that are inherent to their shape and size. At the same time, the SMC Platform wants to promote SMC’s to the outside world as living laboratories for innovation. During the webinar, we want to identify the SMC’s specific needs and interests and agree on 2019 priorities. The aim is also to collect success stories of how SMCs have been deploying transport innovations as part of their local mobility policies, which we can use for promotion purposes.
We hope to see you soon at one of our meetings!
For now, I wish you a good read.
Karen Vancluysen
