Dear members,

Last week, the Polis Annual General Assembly re-elected the city of Madrid as Polis president 2015 -congratulations to the president as well as the re-elected management committee members BKK Budapest, Pisa and Stuttgart region!

The Annual General Assembly meeting in Madrid also served as an excellent opportunity to present the activities that took place over the last year as well propose the strategic priorities and opportunities for the year to come. We thank you for your active involvement and valuable feedback during the meeting! All presentations and reference documents are available in the members area of the website.

On the two days following the AGA meeting, the 2014 Annual Polis Conference was hosted by Madrid and brought together 280 transport professionals. I was pleased to witness the increasing popularity of the Polis Conference and the presence of 80 Polis member representatives! We can also look back to an impressive panel of high level speakers, which included Spain's and Italy's transport state secretary and minister, Madrid's mayor, and the International Transport Forum's Secretary General (to name just a few), who shared their thoughts about Europe's and Polis’ role in making urban transport more sustainable.
