July 2015

Dear members,

I was very pleased to hear that the European Parliament's transport committee voted in favour of developing an EU roadmap for cycling yesterday. Polis together with other EU stakeholders had sent an open letter to the Members of the European Parliament encouraging them to support such an EU roadmap for cycling. This roadmap would be the first stategic and comprehensive EU framework to promote cycling as ameans of transport. Read more about this topic in this InfoPolis.

If your summer holidays haven't started yet, make sure to download the 2015 Polis Conference draft programme and register online to secure your seat at the conference. Note that each Polis member city and region is entitled to the free registration of up to 3 representatives.

InfoPolis will also have a summer break and our next members newsletter will be released at the beginning of September.

As usual, finally a reminder to please login to the Polis website as a member to access all information addressed to Polis members only (green headline)! If you do not know your login details, please contact us.

For now, I wish you a pleasant read!
